2015 Arc De Triomphe Ante Post Betting Tips PT 3

Free Eagle and Pat Smullen have forged a very impressive bond over their five race history together and that was the first Group 1 clash for the Moyglare Stud-owned four-year-old. They finished third to Noble Mission in the Champions Stakes when sent off at 5/2 and one has to wonder whether they will opt for the Arc instead this year or perhaps attempt a quick fire double.

The odds then take a pretty considerable jump into each-way territory when you get to Kingston Hill who trades anywhere from 16/1 to 25/1 with most major bookmakers and he’s been off the track since finishing fourth in the Arc last year. When you get into this price range for this type of a race you start getting into the horses that are going to fit more prominently into your forecast and place wagers than into outright winners, all things considered.

The winner of last year’s St Leger, he really looks to be a bit of a Doncaster specialist but was able to put in that credible run in the Arc last year and also did well in the Derby in 2014 finishing just a length or so behind Australia. He’s formed a decent partnership with Andrea Atzeni and the two look like decent value to hit the board here once again with the Arc clearly being the goal for the four-year-old son of Mastercraftsman.

Other notables in the mix include the Aga Khan’s Dolniya, who was last seen finishing second behind Pether’s Moon in the Coronation Cup at Epsom, but also deserves a lot of respect for capturing the big money Dubai Sheema Classic at Meydan this year over Flintshire. She trades at a 25/1 price and will be dangerous if she enters the gate on Arc day.

Flintshire is also listed in most ante post markets for the race anywhere from 16/1 all the way up to a 25/1 listing. Ectot is on board with several books and trades around 50/1. Harp Star can be backed at 14/1 or 20/1 with The Grey Gatsby available at the same price.
