She has repeatedly beaten up on Flintshire but he's trading at a 25/1 margin for this one and looks more than a step or two off the pace despite his excellent recent performance when grabbing a victory in America on Travers Day at Saratoga. Treve has time and again proven to be a length or two better than he is but we don't know whether that same thing can be said for the likes of Golden Horn or Jack Hobbs.
There is a lot to like about Treve's ability to grab a keen hold in the race early oin and then be able to power home when it matters most for her. In order to really get he run of things in the Arc this time she will have to rely on a clean trip but there is something about her ability to handle those false straights and kick on nicely when she's called upon.
Her excellent partnership with Thierry Janet has continued throughout the entirety of this year and you can bank on her ability to perform here once again. In a slightly scary turn of events, she wound up winning herlast race by a bigger margin than any other contest she has attempted and that was a solid Group 1 at Longchamp.
New Bay is Treve's shortest priced challenger and seems to lead the pack of the three or so that he bookmakers think present the most likely sense of challenge. The chestnut colt by Dubawi is most notable for capturing the Prix Du Jockey Club at Chantilly over Highland Reel back in May and then has rattled off a pair of Group 2 scores since then. This one still definitely has a lot of upside and the victories have all been relatively complete. He was beaten in his career debut at the age of two but still mustered up a second place finish.
