Other notables include Crucero at 8/1, Highball at 10/1 and Xtra Luck at 10/1 as well. Lucky Speed will be priced similarly at around 11/1 while AZ Ridge can be backed at a 14/1 margin.
Looking ahead at the Secretariat Stakes, we have Highland Reel trading at a very slim 7/4 margin and looking to be a very popular selection for those who are seeking to put together some big money parlay tickets. This contender deserves a lot of respect but it will still be interesting to wait for the final declarations here as we get closer to the race itself.
War Dispatch is very much in the mix here too with a 7/2 margin while Force The Pass (an amusing entry considering the high profile at Arlington of former NFL great Mike Ditka) is priced very competitively at a 5/1 margin.
The Arlington Million itself is a fascinating race with a tricky group of flat runners coming together for this one. You can see that most major bookmakers have listed Big Blue Kitten as the lukewarm betting favourite for the Arlington Million and you’ll find BBB trading at a 4/1 margin while now while Slumber can be backed at an 11/2 margin ahead of the race.
It will be really interesting to see how these prices shift around a bit before the race itself actually kicks off with Maverick Wave likely to see his odds shift around a bit with a tenuous 6/1 price tag. The Pizza Man is in the mix here at 9/1 while Wake Forest trades at a competitive 10/1 price tag. Another exciting longer-odds flat runner to keep your eye on is Up With The Birds, who trades at a a very solid 12/1 price.
