2015 Belmont Stakes Betting Preview PT 4
- By A.J. Ryder on May 25, 2015 20:12 GMTMadefromlucky is enjoying some popularity from the punters searching for an outside bet while the bookmakers have him priced anywhere from 16/1 to 20/1. He is a credible runner who belongs in this field and just might have something to say about the potential Triple Crown winner. With the right type of ride, he could be a force to be reckoned with and deserves a shot at greatness.

Carpe Diem is another Todd Pletcher trainee and he’s in the mix here as well with a price hovering around the 20/1 margin but he can be found as low as 14/1 and as high as 25/1 depending on whom you’re wagering with right now. He’s another one who many expected to make a bigger impression in the Kentucky Derby but who failed to muster up a genuine challenge.
Tale of Verve managed to make some moves at Pimlico and finish second despite being one of the longest shots on the board after failing to draw into the Kentucky Derby as the second also-eligible. He made the exacta payoff in the Preakness pay off much higher than many assumed it would be - particularly with such a strong favourite winning the race once again.
Some bookmakers have him trading as low as 10/1 while most have him at a much more plausible price tag of about 20/1 or 25/1. There is still some question as to whether he runs or not so it’s worth waiting a little while before you actually back him with a considerable amount of money.
The last to one mention is Keen Ice, owned by Donegal racing who are famous for Paddy O’Prado and the dearly-departed Dullahan. He managed to outperform expectations in the Kentucky Derby since he went off at a fairly long price and still managed to muster up a very credible seventh place performance. The bookmakers seem to think he is just about as likely to win this race and they’ve got him trading at a 25/1 margin right now with virtually all major bookmakers.
