2015 Champions Day Betting Preview PT 2
- By A.J. Ryder on October 13, 2015 02:37 GMTThe British Champion Sprint Stakes is headlined by Muhaarar in a race that looks to be shaping up quite differently to the Long Distance Cup. Muhaarar comes into this one looking for his fourth win on the bounce and he’ll be looking to build on his score at Royal Ascot when he beat out Limato to finish first of eighteen in the Commonwealth Cup.

He’s priced as low as 15/8 here and was recently spotted scoring over Esoterique at Deauville in the Group 1 Maurice De Gheest.
The punter seem to be favouring undefeated Twilight Son to get the better of him as the Henry Candy-trained contender lines up for his Ascot debut following the narrowest of victories in the Betfred Sprint Cup at Haydock Park a month ago. He can be spotted as high as a 6/1 price tag.
In the Qipco British Champions Filly and Mares Stakes we’ve got an interesting proposition here with Tapestry getting clipped considerably by a few books after a weak finish in the Arc but confident words from connections that she’s heading here. She’s dropped as short as a 7/2 margin with some but can still be spotted as high as a 7/1 margin.
Covert Love is also in the mix here and was also in action at Longchamp on Arc Day but this was winning the Group 1 Prix De L’Opera by a head when sent off as the 4/1 joint favourite. She’s only missed once in her last six races and that was when she was sent off as the favourite in the Darley Yorkshire Oaks back in late August.
Look for Covert Love around a 4/1 margin here.
