2015 Cheltenham Festival Tuesday Betting Tips PT 2

L’Ami Serge is undefeated since moving over from Auteil at the start of the season and has won his three efforts by a combined 27 lengths and that includes a Grade 1 and a Grade 2 victory. Jollyallan looks to play the role of the obvious spoiler and he’s trading at around 7/1 having just lost his last race by half a length to Garde La Victoire.

We will be playing L’Ami Serge to just nip this one with Douvan perhaps getting hampered early on and not factoring like many had originally suspected.

The Racing Post Arkle Challenge is another fascinating race and we’ve got one of the biggest bankers of the entire festival set to run here in Un De Sceaux who trades as low as 8/13 with some bookmakers for this massive 2m contest over fences. Only a falling trip in his seasonal debut blights his impressive recent card of results and we also have the bonus of a Grade 1 victory from Leopardstown after taking a sixteen-strong chase at Fairyhouse by a whopping 16 lengths when sent off at a 1/5 price tag.

Of the challengers, only Vibrato Valtat appears to be trading at a single digit price with bookmakers floating him around 5/1 or 11/2. He’ll be coming into this one looking for his fourth score on the bounce in the novice chase circuit. There is lots to like about his ability and while he’s not really as flashy as Un De Sceaux, he has every chance to make an impression here and it will be interesting to see if his odds drift up slightly on the day - perhaps bringing him into the each-way territory where many would be more comfortable backing him.

Josses Hill is in the mix here and trades anywhere from 10/1 to 14/1 while Sergeant Reckless is in the mix with a listing around 14/1 all the way up to a 20/1 price tag right now.

Un De Sceaux looks tough to beat and we’re more likely to believe in his ability to get the job done than Douvan in the previous race.
