2015 Cheltenham Festival Wednesday Preview PT 2
- By A.J. Ryder on March 10, 2015 22:41 GMTRight now, punters will find a very fierce competition between the likes of Nichols Canyon, Windsor Park and Outlander for the clear favourites position with all of them hovering anywhere from 7/2 to the 5/1 range. Nichols Canyon, in particular, looked good winning the Deloitte Novices Hurdle at Leopardstown back in early February and he has every chance to pull off something big here as well.

The second race of the day is the Grade 1 RSA Chase and it’s always one of the most anticipated contests of the second day’s action at the Cheltenham Festival. Don Poli is going to be a significant favourite on the day and he comes in with a price of around 7/4 or 2/1 depending on who you’re wagering with. Kings Palace and The Young Master are both trading around 4/1 and look pretty decent value here all things considered.
The one to watch out for is Southfield Theatre who is a talented contender who knows a thing or two about Cheltenham and looks competitive, particularly if you can get into him at 7/1.
The Grade 3 Coral Cup is a very tricky race to wager on with a huge amount of contenders always entered in the race but few actually winding up taking up the running in it. The current betting favourite appears to be Aux Ptits Soins while Activial is trading at either an 8/1 or 10/1 margin for the victory as well. This is a tricky race and much of the early wagering might be thrown out the window with punters opting for whomever makes the best pre-race appearance.
Sprinter Sacre vs Sire De Grugy is one of the best face-offs of the entire festival and these two are competing quite closely for the favourites position with Sprinter Sacre just looking that little bit less appealing thanks to the poor effort on his seasonal debut when he was a distant second to Dodging Bullets despite being sent off at Ascot at a 4/6 margin.
