2015 Cheltenham Thursday Betting Tips PT 2

The Pertemps Final is always one of the more difficult races to figure out but we’ll be looking at Call The Cops to do some damage here for Nicky Henderson. Andrew Tinkler gets the mount and he comes in fresh off a victory in a Class 2 Handicap Hurdle at Doncaster in late February.

It wasn’t so much the victory, but the manner of the five length victory, that tells you that he could be ready to make a statement here. You’ll find him trading around 10/1 and that puts him into each-way territory.

The Ryanair Chase is always one of the main features of the Thursday card and this year’s iteration is a very tricky one with Don Cossack getting the slim edge from the bookmakers now that Dynaste has withdrawn. Ma Filleule will be popular as a second choice but the likes of Hidden Cyclone could be the right option here with AJ McNamara up and coming in off a Grade 2 victory at Punchestown by a solid five length margin last time out.

Locking in the 10/1 price you can find here and there might be the best option as, aside from his two falling efforts previously, he has rarely finished outside of the top 3.

Next up is the extremely deep Ladbrokes World Hurdle and there is lots to like about this race despite it seeing a couple of late (though unsurprising) defections. As it currently stands, Zarkandar is considered to be the outright favourite and he looks a decent option with pricees trading around 5/1 or even 11/2 depending on whom you’re wagering it.

There may be a lot of punters ready to take him on though as he lost his last race and only seems to really win the big ones when he is running in France. The fact remains that he was beaten at Cheltenham last time and he will always struggle to prove that he can really get it done at this level on this track against top-rated competition unless he steps it up here.
