2015 Dubai Dewhurst Stakes PT 2
- By A.J. Ryder on September 21, 2015 17:56 GMTThe blue team have a number of entries in the Dewhurst ante post market but Aidan O'Brien will have a thing or two to say about this since his talented Air Force Blue is set to run in this race as well and he comes in fresh off a big Group 1 score at The Curragh having taken the Vincent O'Brien National Stakes by a three length margin over Herald The Dawn. The War Front colt gave Joseph O'Brien one of his last big victories in the irons and he did it as the 10/11 post time favourite.

Prior to that Air Force Blue was able to triumph at the Curragh as well with a Group 1 victory in the Keeneland Phoenix Stakes over the likes of Washington DC. He wasn't sent off as the favourite in this one but was still able to muster up a good performance, quickening when it mattered most to capture the race by a two length margin.
Air Force Blue is geting respect from the bookmakers and they put him in thereabouts with Emotionless as most have him floating around 5/4 with a few going up to 13/8 at the time of this writing.
Deauville is in the mix for this race as well and he comes into it with an undefeated record and racing in Mrs. Hay's colours. He broke his maiden at Listowell and then was able to pull off a solid score at Leopardstown in a Group 3 contest when he beat six other contenders. His maiden race was nothing to sneeze at either and he was sent off as the 6/4 favourite against a field of nine other relatively high-profile selections.
You'll find him trading at a 10/1 margin with most major bookmakers and looking an interesting each-way option if you are looking to play against the top two contenders for some particular reason. There is a large selection of runners around this margin including the likes of Tashweeq – who can be spotted as high as a 12/1 price tag and looking sharp seeking his third victory on the bounce following a maiden score and a nice win in a listed contest at Doncaster last week.
Buratino is trading as high as a 14/1 margin and most will remember him as the horse who was able to get the better of Air Force Blue at Royal Ascot. He was beaten by the O'Brien runner last time out at the Curragh and enters this race with plenty to prove and a much depeer race record than many of the others in the mix here. The fact remains that he has never finished outside of the top three which is a solid thing to know for a two-year-old who has already raced six times.
