2015 Dubai Turf Betting Tips

Earlier in the week we took a look at some of the big races that feature on the Dubai World Cup undercard and we’ll be looking at the Dubai Turf here. There is plenty to like about the world’s richest day of racing and many of these contests look very interesting with open markets on virtually every contest and some favourites that look beatable.

In the Dubai Turf we have Solow coming in as the genuine 2/1 favourite ahead of hotshot contender The Grey Gatsby who can be backed around a 5/2 margin right now with most major bookmakers. You’ll find Solow looking for his fifth victory on the bounce and the French-based gelded son of Singspiel already has a race under his belt from earlier in the month when he bested a field of six at Chantilly by a four length margin when sent off at 7/10. 

One of the things that makes Solow an interesting contender here is the fact that he’s got some tactical ability and can either track the leaders on a pace that is expected to be fairly dynamic or he can push on himself and take the lead if the pace looks to be uncontested. 

The Grey Gatsby, one of the real standouts from Mastercraftsman’s first crop, made headlines when he got the better of the well-respected Australia in the QIPCO Irish Champions Stakes last September. He’s been off the track since but winning that race showed that he can tangle with pretty much any horse on the planet going 1m4f. 

Also well-respected for winning the big money Prix De Jockey Club at Chantilly last summer, you can expect him to get a lot of respect from the punters and he may actually go off below Solow’s price. 

Euro Charline is another to keep your eye on and she famously triumphed at Arlington in the Beverly D. Stakes last August on Arlington Million Day. She’s been freshened since and could make a big impression here with a nice each-way price of about 10/1 or 11/1.
