2015 Hong Kong Sprint Betting Tips PT 3
- By A.J. Terravista has to be looked on as a solid wildcard here with a relatively enticing price in the ante post markets. Currently trading at a 9/1 margin with most major bookmakers this one has the distinction of being one of the few horses in this contest (or anywher, really) to have beaten Chautauqua beforehand. He got the better of him in a race at Flemington last year but only by a neck - ironically he was trading at 9/1 on the day there as well.
It’s worth noting that his last race where he ran home in a blanket finish with Delectation and Chautauqua saw him finish third but only just failing on the run-in. He looks like he could push on here as it will be his fourth start since his freshening ended at the start of October.
The Japanese contender Straight Girl looks to be a force to be reckoned with as well having captured the Sprinters Stakes as well as the Grade 1 Victoria Mile so far during the calendar year. This will be her third start off the lay-off and she looks to be moving forward nicely - clearly needing that first race in mid-September but still acquitting herself very well to finish fourth.
She’s priced around a solid 10/1 right now and represents an interesting outside variable here if you fancy the Japanese to get one over on the big day in Hong Kong.
