Postponed probably has the biggest variance in his outright price with the Luca Cumani-trained four-year-old hovering at either 7/1 or 10/1 right now about a week before the race itself. We are still a few days away from the final declaration stage next week so you can expect that those 10/1’s will start to disappear as we get closer to the big day kicking off. 

He was last seen finishing third in the Group 2 Hardwicke Stakes at Royal Ascot with Adam Kirby up. He came out of the gates at a 7/2 margin and that will be disappointing for a lot of punters because you reckon they wouldn’t be backing him on the each-way with that price tag. He’s not actually won in any of his three efforts this year but did go relatively close to Western Hymn in his seasonal debut at Sandown in the Group 3 Gordon Richards Stakes. 

Karpino is probably the only other undefeated entry after Golden Horn who remains in the race and it’s still not 100% that the German bred will actually run in the race. He has only been out three times in his entire career and the lightly-raced Cape Cross colt will be an interesting outside contender here if he does actually find his way into the entry gate. 

He is the winner of the German 2000 Guineas and won that race by a full four and a half lengths when sent off as the 6/4 favourite. He is owned by Qatar Racing, who certainly know where to place their horses these days so there is a good chance that he might hit the board here. As it currently stands, punters will find Karpino available at a very solid price of 14/1 with some books. 

Dolniya is also in the mix for this one and could be every chance to collect on the each-way after the type of season we’ve seen so far. You’ll find a price tag of about 12/1 right now with a chance that it could drop as we get closer to the race. Ever-present runner Hillstar is also here and hovers around a 33/1 margin.
