Monetaire is a 10/1 shout here and will be looking to make this a victorious seasonal debut with Tom Scudamore in the irons here. You’ll probably remember Monetaire from his second place finish at Cheltenham last year in one of the undercard Grade 3 handicap chases. He unseated his rider in his next effort at Aintree before finishing a fairly tame eighth place at Punchestown in an ungraded handicap. 

He has the confidence of the punters here however and trades at about 10/1 with virtually everybody offering up an ante post market for this exciting race. He will need to step up his game from previous efforts despite the fact that it looks like he will enjoy the course. 

Cocktails At Dawn sees his price range anywhere from 12/1 all the up to a 20/1 margin at the time of this writing as he looks to scoop his second victory of the 2015/2016 campaign. He scored in a Class 2 novice chase at Chepstow by a very solid three length margin. 

He was able to produce a very notable score in another novice handicap chase last year at Sandown when he won by a whopping 26 lengths over a field of 10. While that victory came against a much lower grade of opposition than what he will face here, you do have to respect the fact that he will be able to kick on and make a pretty big impression here if he can replicate anything like that.
