His main challenger is none other than Storm The Stars who has been one of the most there-or-thereabouts horses we have seen in quite some time. He has been punching it out in a lot of top quality races and acquitting himself well each time of asking. He definitely has some solid performances and will be looking to add to that here as he stretches out in distance significantly.

It will be his ninth race of the year which is simply one of those things that doesn’t tend to happen anymore - particularly if you are running consistently in Group 1’s and Group 2’s against some of the best three-year-olds in the UK and France. He has earned plenty of fans thanks to his guile and has constantly outrun his odds prior to the bookmakers really getting things right and rating his as the second choice in his recent race where he finally made the first breakthrough since a listed score at Goodwood back in late May.

He found extra at the finish to be able to muster enough power to beat out the likes of Bondi Beach who was sent off as the marginal favourite with a listing of about 11/4 with most major bookmakers. He has finished just behind Jack Hobbs and Golden Horn this season and will be looking for another serious feather in his cap here as he takes on older horses and some other quality three-year-olds.

Punters will find him trading as a general 3/1 price tag with virtually all major bookmakers with ante post markets out on the race. One of two have him into 11/4’s after doing well and a few others have as high as 7/2 - a listing that will likely drop as we get closer to the race itself and we get an accurate idea of whether he will have the right type of ground to suit him here.
