2015 Woodbine Mile Betting Preview PT 1
- By A.J. Ryder on September 13, 2015 20:09 GMTAs North American racing heads into its fall season on the heels of its Triple Crown champion being defeated by longshot Keen Ice at Saratoga in the Travers, we are starting to look towards a new set of meetings as the summer boutique meets fade into memory. There is still plenty of action left to unfold stateside though and a number of different subplots are developing as we head towards the Breeders Cup and the international contests around it.

Looking towards the big race of the day at Woodbine we have the Ricoh Woodbine Mile which is a 1m contest (obviously) that has attracted some really interesting contenders to the track on the outskirts of Toronto, Canada.
A few of the contenders here will be vying for positions in the Breeders' Cup Classic and a few other races beyond that. The contest carries a Win and You're In ticket for the Breeders' Cup and there is a lot to think about here for the top contenders.
These fall races at Woodbine tend to attract a lot of attention from European punters and you can bank on the European books offering up plenty of interesting prices on the big race coming up. You'll find some odds movement on Mondialiste who has been taken from 11/4 into 5/2 a few hours before the race itself actually kicks off.
Mondialiste enters looking for his fourth victory on the bounce after suffering a tough result at Ascot a while back when he simply failed to fire. There is a lot to like about his ability here and if he runs to the potential that many think he has then you can bank on him making a serious impression. It will be interesting to see how the tote board approaches him.
