There is much to like about his ability and it’s an exciting prospect that he might be able to genuinely challenge the top order of chasing contenders here over the middle distances.

He is also set to get regular jockey Richard Johnson in the irons for this one.
Nicky Henderson’s Rajdhani Express boasts a solid rating and could factor here as part of an each-way package if he’s priced right. Owned by Sam Waley-Cohen’s father Robert, he was last seen in the Old Roan as well unseating Sam when landing awkwardly on the seventh jump.
He might be an interesting option for some but is unlikely to challenge for the outright victory - it’s worth remembering that this horse finished 151 lengths behind Vino Griego back in January of last year.
The talented Eduard remains probably the biggest wild card in the race at this point and he came close on his seasonal debut, running in a listed contest at Carlisle only to come up about a length short to Many Clouds. He had been sent off as the 9/4 favourite and looked pretty good at the time to get things done - he may be able to improve enough here to actually get it taken care of. It would be a major statement for the Nicky Richards charge to be able to kick on and get the job done but when he wins, he tends to win by a considerable amount - notably taking a Grade 2 Novice Chase last year by a 20 length margin at Ayr on the Scottish National day undercard.
He will be making his Haydock Debut but could be trading at a very solid price which bodes well for him as he has just emerged onto this scene but definitely looks like he will belong there and could be set for a big 2014/2015 campaign on the National Hunt circuit.
