The feature on Saturday's card at Goodwood is one of the most widely-anticipated Group 1 fixtures for fillies and mares – the Nassau Stakes. This 1m2f-ish race is relatively open but it tends to favour the quality runner Izzi Top who lines up for the John Gosden yard and retains William Buick for the trip.

She's put together an impressive line-up of victories and is looking for her fifth score on the bounce. Undefeated in three starts this year – she's able to go right to the front or sit just off the leaders and deploy a stalking trip.
Punters seem convinced about her chances and you'll find her around 15/8.
The two contenders who are expected to offer up the stiffest resistance include Nahrain and The Fugue. Nahrain rides for the Roger Varian yard and this Darley-bred hasn't had a huge amount of luck in her one start this season but she likely needed that contest. She took a lot of money at the Breeders' Cup last year, only to get gunned down by the day's longest-odds shot Perfect Shirl.
The bet on her, and she's 7/2 at this point, is that she's bound to improve against Group 1 company – that might be a price you'd take at 8/1 but not 7/2 – not against these types of contenders.
The Fugue was well-beaten at Royal Ascot despite finishing second in a relatively deep group of entries in the Ribblesdale Stakes. Beaten six lengths by Princess Highway despite being sent off as the 5/2 favourite, she'll need to turn it around here.
Notably, she was beaten by Oaks winner Was in that race, and Was returns for this one as well. Look for The Fugue at a 4/1 price tag here. Speaking of Was, you'll find her trading at a 13/2 price coming in off her 4/7 in the Darley Irish Oaks at the Curragh. It may have come just a bit too soon after her previous win, which was an all-out neck victory over Shirocco Star.
Other notables include the Juddmonte entry Timepiece while Lay Time is still looking for her first score of the year. She trades at 18/1 and will be looking for a slice of this one, at best. Clinical trades at 33/1 alongside Sea of Heartbreak.
