Bet365 Charlie Hall Chase Betting Preview Part 2
- By A.J. The Paul Nicholls-trained jumper captured a novice chase when he kicked off his seasonal debut last year and then got the better of Walkon in a Grade 3 contest at Cheltenham - triumphing by an 11 length margin.

This is a horse that simply seems to know how to find the line and he has a lot of quality to flash - particularly early in the season.
Benefficient lines up for AJ Martin’s yard and he’s a Grade 1 winner on the novice chase circuit at Leopardstown and has won a Grade 2 at Cheltenham. In the grand scheme of things, you have to like the way he goes about his business and you reckon he’s able to tangle with any contenders on his day. While he certainly hasn’t faced quality of Long Run’s type, Long Run has also been beaten by some random horses who simply dug in harder.
Harry Topper has had trouble finishing his races since he’s shifted off the novice circuit with a bit of unluckiness troubling him. He unseated his rider at Kelso last March and was then brought down at the Punchestown festival when things actually looked to be going his way.
You’ll find Harry Topper trading at an 8/1 price and looking good value for money if he can move forward.
Billie Magern lines up for the Nigel Twiston-Davies yard and looks set to put in a good effort but you have to wonder whether he can handle the big step up in quality he’s going to be facing. He’s priced at 40/1 and may have an opportunity to hit the board if he runs one of his better races.
