We'll be taking a look at the action here and delving into a few different selections for the six races.
The opening leg runs around 2:30 at Haydock in a large handicap going 1m. There are some very competitive records from many coming into this one and those towards the middle and bottom of the handicap will likely be appealing. Look for Gabrial to continue progressing and get that elusive first win of 2012. Apostle also looks set to kick on while Grey Mirage searches for the third score on the bounce.
The 3:00 Temple Stakes at Haydock is a Group 2 encounter with Tangerine Trees carrying an extra 4 lbs. Bated Breath looks competitive but this one could set up nicely for Borderlescott, who could very well knock a few units out of the pool. He looks set to go off at a pretty hefty price and will be looking to improve off the last start.
We switch over to Goodwood at 3:20 for a 1m4f contest over good to firm ground. Look for Grumeti to improve off his recent scores and hope that you can get him at a good price. He's a decent singling opportunity here. Sand Skier and Ithoughtitwasover look competitive as well.
Back to Haydock for the 3:30 for another handicap, this one for some contenders with particularly patchy form. Magic Secret is the unknown quantity here with Corporal Maddox also looking like one who could improve.
York hosts the next leg of the Scoop6 at 3:45 in a 5f sprint handicap. Magical Macey looks like quality but might just find himself carrying a bit too much weight. He is seldom too far off from the winner and Graham Gibbons gets the mount here. Brian Meehan's Catfish gets Mickael Barzalona for the first time and he just might be able to get the most out of the four-year-old.
