BetFred Sprint Cup Betting Tips Pt 2

Sole Power’s ability has been proven all over the place but the son of Kyllachy has really been able to show that he is getting better with age. His victory last week at York was especially impressive as he got the best of Stepper Point once again - doing the impossible and scoring a big victory.

The bookmakers have Sole Power listed at a 7.0 price tag and that looks good value right now.

Music Master is the next best-priced contender and he enters off a Group 3 score at Newbury back in July when he took the Hackwood Stakes against a field of twelve that was tougher than it might have looked. Watch out for him, but be aware that the 8.0 listing is probably a bit shorter than it deserves to be when you consider that he has only won 3 races from 11 and one of those was a maiden, the other a class 3 encounter at Warwick on his seasonal debut.

He ran second to Tropics last year in a Group 3 at Ascot but you reckon he’s going to have his hands full taking on the likes of Sole Power and Due Diligence.

Tropics is priced at 10.0 and represents a better punting opportunity than Music Master. His last victory was a simple listed contest against a field of 10 at Newmarket. He was sent off as the 11/4 favourite for that one and delivered for punters by a very solid 1/2 length margin.

The real key race for Tropics was actually the prior contest when he seriously outran his odds in the Darley July Cup and came in second behind Slade Power when sent off at a hefty 66/1 margin in a field of 13. His ability to quicken on command was impressive and you can expect him to be able to conjure up a similar sort of performance here despite never having actually run at Haydock before.
