There really hasn't been a better-looking Breeders' Cup Ladies Classic for quite some time with a seriously talented quadrant of distaffers looking to stake their claim on the biggest prize for American females this November. There is also a line-up of interesting outsiders who could be poised to capitalize on any mistake from one of the leading runners.

The likes of Royal Delta saw her claims increased with a sensational performance at Belmont Park last weekend in her key Breeders' Cup prep race. Mike Smith piloted her to a very high-quality victory as she shifted back to a race against females. She is going to be especially comfortable running at Mike's home base of Santa Anita and you can expect these two to continue to see their prices shorten in the build-up to the run.
Punters will find Royal Delta trading around 5/2.
My Miss Aurelia won her bout with Questing last week as the top two three-year-old east coast fillies did battle in a scintillating stretch drive. Godolphin's entry saw her slip down to third favourite from the clear second choice behind Royal Delta. MMA is now priced at around 9/2 with some books listing her as low as 4/1. Questing really showed her basement in that last race and there still remains the chance that she's going to kick on and improve from there. She's trading at a tidy 6/1 and looks good value on the run-in if you're looking to back a bit of a spoiler at this point. There is a chance that Questing will actually go off at 8/1 or 10/1 pari-mutuel, especially if Royal Delta is floating around evens or odds-on, where many expect her to be.
The real wise-guy selection looks to be Awesome Feather – the undefeated west coast filly who is going to have this race running on her home turf. Or dirt. She floats around 7/1 and has strung together a sensational string of victories. She won last year's Juvenile Fillies race at Churchill Downs and many expect her to continue moving forward here. What a feather in the cap it would be for Stronach Stables to take this one as the premiere jewel of their racetrack collection plays host to the world's finest thoroughbreds.
Grace Hall is in the mix for this race but her odds are a significant amount higher with a 10/1 price now. She has cooled off a bit form-wise after an excellent start to the season. She may be able to spring a surprise here but will need to muster a career-best performance. It's a similar story for It's Tricky who trades at 12/1. Amani and Include Me Out are both hovering around 14/1 and should be competing for the minor honors.
