The Champion Hurdle sets up nicely for Hurricane Fly and he’s taking the bulk of the money for this contest but it really looks like punters have lots of interesting options with Cinders And Ashes, Countrywide Flame and Khyber Kim lining up here. There is also the presence of Rock On Ruby to worry about as well.

Even Binocular turns up in this one.
Zarkandar continues to get support in this one and you’ll find him trading at 7/2, but it looks to be Hurricane Fly at 15/8 and Rock On Ruby, who flourished at Cheltenham last year, looking sharp at 9/2.
The Cross Country Chase can be a tricky contest to handicap but we will be opting for Arabella Boy now that Balthazar King has dropped out of the running. Punters will find Arabella Boy priced at around 4/1 and looking sharp as a solid contender to stay the nearly 4 mile trek over tricky obstacles. It remains to be seen how the going will really affect these runners but those who think it could go in either direction might opt for A New Story who was recently trimmed from 25/1 to 20/1 or even Double Dizzy at a hefty 33/1.
Quevega has made a meal of the David Nicholson Mares Hurdle for a number of years and is getting backed as hard as ever to take the contest once again. She is now into 1/2 but plenty of punters will be looking to line up and beat her with Kentford Grey Lady, who really does look quality at the moment and will likely be able to improve at just the right time here.
Look for Kentford Grey Lady to pull off an upset at 8/1 - punters may also want to back her to place because she is miles ahead of many others here.
The final contest of the day, the Novices’ Handicap Chase is being headlined by Colour Squadron, who trades alongside Carlo Brigante at 11/2 while the Druids Nephew is trading at a 7/1 price. This is a tough one to handicap but it’s worth looking for a price here. Johns Spirit has been taking money and is into 16s from 25s.
