Cheltenham Open Betting Tips and Preview Pt 4
- By A.J. Ryder on November 14, 2013 19:34 GMTLook for Southfield Theatre to be one of the feathers in Paul Nicholls’ caps on the day. Also coming off a victory on seasonal debut, this five year old son of King’s Theatre has captured four wins from five races and looks to be able to handle the step up in quality that he will face here. This is a horse that not only finds the line each time, but tends to deliver when taking money.

Silver Eagle was a beaten favourite last time out and it broke a two-race win-streak that had him setting up nicely for this contest. His last run was creditable and he will move on from that race - look for him to be in the frame come in the end of the contest. He is also co-entered for a Grade 2 contest that runs in the following slot so keep your eyes on the final declarations.
The 3:35 is the Neptune Investment Management Novices Hurdle, which is a Grade 2 event that has attracted some interesting contenders. Look for Oscar Fortune and AP McCoy to deliver for the punters here as he comes in with a good run of form and plenty of momentum for his Cheltenham debut. He will be looking for his fourth score on the bounce and he was sent off as the 5/4 favourite last time out with AP in the irons. You may not get the best price but he is definitely in the mix.
Timesremembered also has plenty of claims to this race and he comes off a Grade 2 score at Chepstow last time out. Look for him to keep his excellent record going as he has never finished outside of the top three in any of his six career races, winning three of them. The other impressive factor is that all of those races came against large fields with a mix of different jockeys. This horse appears to have quality and versatility - look for him to move forward here.
The nightcap is the typical National Hunt flat race that is anyone’s guess. Bull and Bush is one to keep your eye on here for Alan King, looking to move forward off a second place finish last time out. The other one to watch is Legacy Gold, who has captured a NHF at Aintree last year during festival time and will be looking to put in another good shift here. An each-way selection would be wise for Handmaid, who looks set to keep a good run of form going as well.
