With Quevega being such an accomplished hurdler, it remains to be seen whether Une Artiste will even be able to take advantage of any openings’ presented to her, as the favourite simply tends to win so easily.

Une Artiste will likely deploy a tracking trip and then do her best to push forward over the final 2f or so.
Kentford Grey Lady came second in this contest last year and, though she has only found the winners circle in one of her four efforts this season, several of those races came against male jumpers. She hasn’t missed by much, but was beaten by Une Artiste, so that’s likely why punters will find her trading at around 9/1 with most major bookmakers.
She tends to race a bit deeper and will likely be taken back for much of the race. Depending on the positioning of Quevega, you do have to wonder whether connections will want to to perhaps race just a bit closer to the pace?
One of the more interesting outside challengers is Mischievous Milly, who will likely get McCoy for the trip. She’s only got four races under her belt and two of those are flat contests from Warwick earlier this season. She recently captured a Listed Hurdle for mares at Taunton and looked good when scoring in her previous effort - a novice hurdle at Fakenham.
Both of those victories came at solid prices (11/2 and 7/1). If she continues to move forward like she has been - and gets the quality ride that we all know AP is capable of delivering - then she could be a force to be reckoned with. Keep your eyes peeled on her at 16s.
