He famously finished second to Masked Marvel in the St Leger during his three-year-old campaign but had only taken lower profile races prior to that.

Star Empire may be your each-way shout here but there isn’t much form beyond the first few contenders. This is one of the weakest of the group level races and the absence of the dearly-departed Cavalryman speaks volumes.
Next up we have the UAE Derby and this one looks to be a fairly interesting renewal despite the lack of a large or relatively talented field lining up in this one. It appears to be a fairly close duel between the pair of Golden Barows and Muubtahij with both of them trading at a 5/2 margin for the outright victory. Maftool is an interesting 4/1 shout just behind them while Sir Fever can be backed at a 5/1 listing.
Following that, the odds take a considerable jump up to 15/1 or so for the likes of Tap That. The interesting outside contender My Johnny Be Good ships over from the United States and has been on the Kentucky Derby radar for quite a while. He is priced at a solid 25/1 listing and could be a very solid each-way selection here particularly if the pace falls apart.
The Al Quoz Sprint follows that race and the race appears to be loaded up with superstars as Sole Power is set to take on the likes of Peniaphobia, Amber Sky and Ahtoug. Sole Power has been all over the place and contested races in nearly every single continent but he’s a 7/1 shout here to get the job done as he ships over from Sha Tin.
He lost out last time to Gold Fun when sent off at 9/5 in the Chairman’s Sprint Cup a few weeks ago. Prior to that he took the Centenary Sprint Cup and really hasn’t finished outside of the top three except for that last race when he finished fourth.
