Epsom Derby Day Scoop6 Betting Tips Part 4
- By A.J. Ryder on May 31, 2013 17:16 GMTLa Fortuna looks to be one who might be able to move forward in this contest having acquitted herself quite well when running at Epsom back in April. She was beaten by just a slim head when sent off at 10/1 and that was only her first effort of the season. You can expect her to move forward off the 6 week freshening and keep doing well over a course she has always seemed to enjoy.

The fourth leg is the 3:30 at Musselburgh and this one has a few talented runners in it competing for a relatively tidy prize. Take a look at the well-handicapped Grandorio who was a beaten favourite last time out having scored on seasonal debut at Doncaster. He’s decently-rated for the race and sits towards the middle of the weights, looking strong for David O’Meara.
Van Percy will likely get plenty of attention coming in off a victory at Haydock and with a strong rating he looks likely to deliver here.
The Ladbrokes Handicap from Doncaster is the next contest up and there isn’t a huge amount of form in this one so punters may want to opt for the well-titled Diescentric, by Diesis, who finished third last time out against a field of nine on his seasonal debut at Newcastle. He scored at the end of his 2012 campaign when taking a 6k at Kempton so you know that this contender can find the line but this one will need to show some improvement, and there is every chance he might just get it firing second off the layoff.
The final race of the day is the Epsom Derby and it looks like a great chance to add some value to your ticket by singling Dawn Approach in this effort. Those looking to play against him will be opting for the likes of Battle of Marengo or Chopin.
