The key challenge is expected to come from Night of Thunder or Belardo as the Godolphin entry trade at 5/1 and 7/1, respectively. Arod is in the mix too with Andrea Atzeni in the irons at an 8/1 listing. 

Just after the Sussex, we’ve got the Molecomb Stakes and this is a very deep Group 3 contest for two year olds with some high-profile young shooters in the mix here. King of Rooks looks to be the even money betting choice as Richard Hannon’s Acclamation colt is expected to produce a very serious performance and trades at an even money price for the win. 

Maiden winner Kachy lines up for Tom Dascombe and has Richard Kingsgote in the irons once again after their 2 and a quarter-length victory at Chester back at the end of June. He was sent off at a 4/1 price on the day and you can expect him to move forward and really produce something special here if he can run back towards that performance this time.

One of the best chances of the day for Godolphin is Rouleau who trades at a 13/2 price tag at the moment and will get William Buick up once again. He will be seeking his third score on the bounce and is already getting some serious respect since shifting over from winning a Wolverhampton maiden at a 1/4 margin and then conquering a Class 4 handicap at Ascot by a half-length margin.
