There is a lot to like about his 8/1 price tag and you expect many to have a flutter with the two short-priced favourites both coming in off beaten efforts. Bog Warrior is in-form at the moment over hurdles and will need the right sort of pace - but he is dangerous.

Quel Esprit hasn’t scored since capturing this race exactly a year ago - he toppled a field of seven and came in a good two lengths ahead of Roberto Goldback, despite some real pressure on the run-in. He is using this as his seasonal debut and it’s likely that Willy Mullins has had him pointed at this one for quite a while.
He was disappointing in his last two starts of his 2011/12 campaign but he tends to do well off the lay-off and he could be primed for a big score here at 10/1 ante post.
China Rock is trading at 14/1 and was well-beaten on his first effort this year after ending things on a high note at Punchestown in 2012 by capturing the Grade 1 Punchestown Gold Cup. He has shown his ability to tangle at this level and was eighth from fourteen in the Cheltenham Gold Cup last year (albeit beaten by 48 lengths).
Seabass is in some very good form but trades at 25/1 ante post for his seasonal debut in this one. He has shown the ability to win off the lay-off in the past and he should still be sharp as he’s ten-year-old and is a seasoned pro at this point. he has a fantastic season last year campaigning over fences after stepping up off the point to point circuit. He came third in the Grand National and deserves respect. He may not enter this race as he also has entries for an overnight hurdle at Fairyhouse on February 5 and a Grade 3 Handicap Chase on February 23. He is a 20/1 shot to win this year’s National.
Joncol and Roi Du Mee are both listed at 33/1 and they look to be pushing for a place finish as opposed to a shot at the outright victory.
