Juddmonte International Betting Tips PT 1
- By A.J. Ryder on August 20, 2014 02:00 GMTWhile we might only have six entries in the Juddmonte International Stakes at York on Wednesday, it still appears to be a fascinating contest that will have serious implications on Champions Day as some of the most exciting contenders take each other on looking to improve on their already impressive stories from the past season of flat racing, as it comes closer to its crescendo.

The leading candidate, perhaps quite unsurprisingly is Australia, who enters the race looming as one of the most impressive runners in the barn of Aidan O’Brien and he’ll be looking for his third after capturing a Classic double. He took the Epsom Derby and then followed it up with a score at the Curragh when sent off at 1/8 in a victory even more impressive than the previous one.
He is likely to see he price steam down even lower as the punters begin piling on as they go into the gates. Clearly, on form many will be fancying Australia but you have to wonder how popular he will be with the more discerning punters looking for value, perhaps in the each-way or place markets.
The son of Galileo will be looking to add to his claims as the best three-year-old in the land, and quite possibly the world.
Telescope and Mukhadram loom as the other key challengers here - the older contenders looking to pick off the pretender to their crown. Telescope is getting a slight edge from punters right now and can be backed at a general 9/2 amongst most major bookmakers. He has strung together some impressive runs but has only scored once this year, at Royal Ascot in the Group 2 Hardwicke Stakes out of his four runs this season.
