Meydan Betting Preview PT 3

Punters will find Muarrab trading as low as a 6/4 listing right now.

Reynaldothewizard is next up in terms of the wagering and he also comes into this race with plenty of solid recent form if you go back to his season last year. He was doing really well having taken two on the bounce - including a solid Group 3 effort at Meydan - but then has been off since last February.

He was always a tough competitor and he has been slogging it out with the best over the past couple of years but was never really able to replicate the 2013 form when he was able to capture the Dubai Golden Shaheen after three undefeated runs at Meydan racecourse. Krypton Factor is in the mix here if you’re looking for a longer odds selection with a decent 16/1 margin right now showing confidence in his ability to hit the board.

The next up is another listed contest and you’ll find this one being a pretty wide open effort here with Farraaj looming as the 10/3 favourite right now ahead of 7/2 Big Baz. Farraaj hasn’t actually won in quite a while so it’s worth keeping your eyes on the odds ahead of this one as the late money will likely be a more clear indication of who has an actual chance here. You have to go back to July 2014 at York to find the last time he was able to actually win. This is a shade lower than some of his previous efforts - several of which game at Group 1 level - but it’s worth noting his tame fifth at Jebel Ali on his seasonal debut.

Next up is the Mina Al Hamriya Handicap and the punters seem convinced that Cat O’Mountain is the betting favourite despite being the top weight here. You’ll find him not having actually raced since October of 2014 when he took a Group 3 contest at Dundalk. He had run in some very solid races and might be set to get it all back on track here despite the extra weight.

The final race sees Musaddas coming in as the betting favourite under James Doyle with a 7/2 price in an extremely deep field of about 17 contenders.
