Meydan Betting Tips for Thursday January 21 PT
- By A.J. Ryder on January 20, 2016 20:55 GMTThere are some really solid looking races that are going to unfold at Meydan on Thursday and you can bank on a number of interesting betting opportunities as well. There are seven races set to go now and a number of tough handicaps are set to offer up a challenging puzzle to punters across the world looking to bet on the best that Dubai has to offer.
The opening race is the District One Villas Handicap and you’ve got a pretty compact wagering field with Etijaah emerging as the basic favourite right now with a 3/1 margin. Behind him is the likes of Godolphin’s Zephuros and he’s priced as short as 4/1 right now. It will be interesting to see how the late money affects things.
Enery comes into this one looking to improve off that second place finish last time out with a relatively tempting price tag that hovers around a 13/2 margin right now.
The second race - the District One Turf Handicap sees the punters backing Green Door as the most likely winner here but it is hardly an emphatic price since he’s trading around a 4/1 margin. Banaadeer lines up in the colours of Sheikh Hamdan and he’s trading as the second betting choice right now with a margin of around 9/2.
The third race is the Meydan Sobha which is a dirt handicap going 1m1f or so and we’ve got a pair of Godolphin entries here which are expected to command a fair portion of the wagering volume - in particular is the likes of Lets Go. He is a heavy odds-on pice right now and looks like to improve going out this time once again. Special Fighter is trading at a 5/1 margin alongside Footbridge at a 6/1 listing - the other Godolphin entry.
