November Handicap at Doncaster Betting Tips PT 1

There is plenty of interesting options available for punters in one of the last big handicaps of the year as we have the November Handicap unfolding at Doncaster at the weekend. The ante post markets have just been released following the final declaration stage and it looks like it could wind up being a real duel between a pair of talented contenders according to the market right now.

It appears, however, that there is nearly a dozen or so in the 10/1-20/1 corridor who are enjoying plenty of support in a field that could wind up being extremely competitive with some very solid swings in the wagering expected as we get closer to the race itself and know what type of ground we can expect. 

As it currently stands, Argus has the faith of the punters more so than anybody else and the three-year-old colt by Rip Van Winkle is getting support at around 6/1. He comes in fresh off a Doncaster victory in late October when he captured a Class 2 handicap by half a length over Mistiroc. He came out of the gates at a 9/4 margin and delivered as the favourite with Andrea Atzeni in the irons. 

He appears to be a talented handicapper for the Qataris and, though he isn’t likely to emerge as a superstar in any capacity, looks to be well-spotted in a race that will surely see him be there or thereabouts. 

Argus stands out for many because of how well he is weighted here with an 8-4 assignment compared to his closest challenger in the ante post market who will be carrying a full stone more.
