- By A.J. Ryder on May 31, 2013 17:13 GMTThunder Strike by Sakhee’s Secret looks to be a fascinating selection and comes into the race after taking two scores from two efforts and getting the Hughes/Hannon combo never hurts matters either. Sent off as the betting favourite in his two lifetime efforts, it is worth noting that his last win, a conditions stakes at Windsor, only had three entrants. It will be interesting to see how he deals with a larger field like the one on offer today.

Money team has some claims here and he just missed out by two lengths or so in his first effort but then stormed back at Musselburgh in his next effort to capture a maiden contest by 2 lengths when sent off at 11/4. He was raced closer to the pace and if he doesn’t get too much challenge up front with a similar trip, he may be the right selection on the day.
The next leg kicks off at 3:10 and arrives from Doncaster with a tough handicap for 3yo’s going 1m. A John Gosden-trained Juddmonte entry named Remote catches the eye despite only being a maiden winner. The Dansili colt acquitted himself extremely well in his maiden score at Newbury against a solid field of 15. He delivered for punters at a 25/1 price and will definitely go off shorter in this effort.
He was raced in touch for much of the contest and then made very strong headway about 2f from the line and pulled it off by an impressive three-lengths. He’ll enjoy having a solid pace to aim at and doesn’t want to deal with much traffic trouble.
