Up to this point we have already seen some amazing scenes and, despite the absence of American sensation California Chrome from the Prince of Wales on Wednesday, we have been privy to some really exciting action.
The Ryan Moore factor cannot be overstated as he looks set to smash a Royal Ascot record since he captured his eighth win of the meeting on Thursday and has plenty of impressive mounts lined up for Friday. It has become difficult to get good prices on any horse with Moore in the irons as he really looks to be in an entirely different type of form than many of his rivals.
Even some of the tough beats that Moore has seen have been due to bad luck as opposed to horses that simply weren’t up to it. We haven’t really seen him make any bad choices here and looks set to continue in winning ways on Friday as he has a host of talented contenders to steer home.
Ryan Moore is notably absent from the opening race of the day - it is the only contest on Friday where he does not have a mount. The Group 3 Albany Stakes for two-year-old fillies will go 6f and American trainer Wesley Ward has a pair in here and he has talented American jockey Joel Rosario set to pilot Back At The Ranch while Frankie Dettori has opted for the mount on Laxfield Road.
