Saturday Scoop6 Betting Preview PT 1

We are expecting some big pools in the Saturday Scoop6 kicking off in less than 24 hours with action unfolding from Kelso and Newbury. It’s a stellar all-jumps card and we can expect some potentially big payouts if any punters are able to crack the six race sequence.

The third leg is the only really intense race with a number of runners - all the rest clock in at a maximum of twelve but the third will contain a full eighteen runners if they all make it to the tape. 

The opener comes to us from Newbury where we have a pretty difficult race to handicap with a number of contenders in the mix. The 2m4f clash over larger fences is pretty much one of those races where the favourite goes off at about 4/1 and there are 10 or so coming in between 5/1 and 12/1. 

There isn’t a huge amount between anyone here but some might opt for the talented Wiesentraum who will be looking for his third score on the bounce, returning from a few months off. He last raced in late October and beat out a Class 3 Handicap Chase by a decent six length margin at Fakenham. Both of his scores this year combined give him a twenty length margin of victory - and these aren’t dross races either they are for 6k and 12k, respectively. 

He’s anywhere between 10/1 and 14/1 which makes him a good each-way selection but you may want to add Pepite Rose to your tickets as well. 

The second race is a handicap chase coming to us from Kelso and it’s a similar state of affairs here with no genuine stand-out and three or four horses all trading around the same price tag. The Last Samuri is currently trading as the slim betting favourite and you’ll find his price hovering around 4/1 at the moment. Harry The Viking is here too and deserves some respect but it could be the likes of Sun Cloud who enters off a five length score at Sedgefield and a decent third place showing in a Class 3 at Kelso.
