Saturday Scoop6 Betting Preview PT 2

Compounding the trickiness of the deep field in the third race, it’s also a novice hurdle so this one is literally anyone’s guess. With a 2m5f distance to be tackled in this Class 1 race, there is a lot of winning form coming into the race.

Spartan Angel is considered to be the betting choice right now with a price of about 7/1 but she comes in without winning since last June - losing on both attempts this year. She is a talented sort though and much is expected of her coming out of the Nicky Henderson yard.

One to watch here might be the talented seven-year-old daughter of King’s Theatre in TwentyTwo’s Taken. She lines up for David Pipe’s yard and has already won two of three race this year - a pair of Class 4 contests at Fakenham and Exeter. The last one was especially good with a seven length margin of victory when sent off at even money so you know she knows how to find the line. She’s anywhere from 8/1 to 12/1 on the board.

The fourth contest is a handicap hurdle going 3m3f and SpookyDooky looms as the favourite here with most books listing him around a 5/2 margin. His form jumps off the line almost as much as his name does and hasn’t finished off the board in his last four contests and he just won a very similar race at Southwell back in late February.

The fifth race in the Scoop6 sequence is the 3:10 from Newbury which is a handicap hurdle going 3m2f110y. There are a few recognizable names in this one including Sin Bin and Carruthers. The betting favourite seems to be Financial Climate though, who is down to as low as 7/2 in the wagering right now on the back of victories at Chepstow and Sandown in the past month.

The final race of the day looks to be heading towards the likes of Storm Force Ten, who lines up for Andrew Balding’s yard. This handicap hurdle sees him drop down from a Grade 2 race where he didn’t acquit himself too badly and he looks well set-up for a score here. Lil Rockefeller trades as the second favourite and you’ll find him as low as 5/1.
