Scoop6 Betting Preview January 31 PT 2

One has to admit that it is a pretty significant step up in grade though and there are several pretty accomplished contenders in the mix here. One of the best ones to keep your eye on is Oscar Sunset who is also emerging off a victory and comes into the race as the second choice in a dynamic field of competitors.

He comes into the race having won a tricky contest at Taunton by a solid margin when sent off as the 11/4 favourite. He had been sent off as the punters choice in his two prior races this season but was only able to muster up a second place finish in each of them - one of them was an agonizingly close 1/4 length loss to Radmores Revenge at Ffos Las.

He has beaten some solid contenders in the past including Godsmejudge and Lieutenant Dan during previous efforts and would not be an unlikely choice here in a race with many different options.

The third leg of the Scoop6 is the Betway West Wales National, which is run as a handicap chase over a 3m4f distance. This one has plenty of competitors near the favourites position with very little between many of them. Ziga Boy, who lines up for Alan King’s yard, is the current selection but he’s lukewarm at a 4/1 price tag with Smiles For Miles just a step behind at a 9/2 margin and looking a bit more impressive with Tom Scudamore booked for the trip.

We also have Global Power, a course and distance winner, sitting at an 11/2 margin and looking pretty decent value on the run-in. Jamie Moore’s runner Edmund Keen was pulled up in his seasonal debut but now comes into the race with the support of many punters having been backed down from 10/1 into 6/1 right now and likely to go a bit lower as we get closer to the race itself kicking off.

Then we’ve got three different contenders all priced at 7/1 including Loch Ba, Firebird Flyer and Gorgehous Lliege who lines up for Venetia Williams.
