- By A.J. Ryder on February 8, 2013 16:58 GMT
There is a very enticing-looking Scoop6 card set to unfold on Saturday and punters are treated to another stellar line-up of quality jumping action with five higher quality races and only a single lower-profile contest to decipher. There are three races with relatively deep (16+) fields and the final one, the Grade 3 Betfair Hurdle, boasts a 23 strong group of contenders.

Some fairly recognizable names adorn a number of these races and there is going to be some real statements made prior to Cheltenham, though the bulk of the Grade 1 action has dried up - endemic of this weekend’s line-up of Grade 2 and 3 contests.
Several high-priced handicaps should be going off as well throughout the day so there are plenty of stellar money-making opportunities.
There is a good sum up for grabs this week as well with £138,864 in the win fund and a solid £283,916 available to be won in the bonus fund. With additional funds coming in the pool could be a very large one, indeed.
In the opening contest, we have the OLBG.com Mares Hurdle, which is registered as the Warwick Chase. It’s a 2m3f contest unfolding at Warwick. There is only 9 entrants here and they are fairly evenly matched without a significant amount of bankable winning form between them.
Kauto Shiny obviously has a name that jumps off the page and his form line isn’t so bad either, running 6212 so far this season after some fairly solid performances on the continent at Enghien and Clairefontaine.
His most notable score came two-back when he conquered a 4YO hurdle with a 35K purse by a solid half-length margin and then followed up with a credible second next time out. He makes his English debut but is thrown right into the mix here against horses with significantly higher ratings. He’s off a 127 right now against a field with an average of about 148.
