Scoop6 Selections for Saturday April 26 PT 2
- By A.J. Ryder on April 25, 2014 16:16 GMTThe third race comes from Ripon at 17 contenders take on this 6f Class 2 race. The ground is expected to be good for this one and we have our third race in a row with absolutely no real consensus. The favourite here is looking like Seeking Magic and he’s trading at a full 7/1 with any bookmaker currently listing prices on this one.

For a bit of perspective, there are 14 different horses all priced between 9/1 and 16/1. El Viento at 11/1 looks an interesting enough shout here and could offer up some intrigue - as well as bottom weight Hillbilly Boy.
The fourth race on the card is the 3:25 at Haydock - a 1m race with 16 runners. As usual, the wagering is wide open for this race and you’ll find the quality runner Gabrial’s Kaka coming back out for this one after putting in a decent shift a few weeks ago. He’s been bet down to 5/1 and looms as one of the bigger favourites of the entire Scoop6 card.
Brae Hill also looms as a very likely contender with a best price of 8/1 right now. He comes in fresh off a solid victory in a very deep race at Doncaster.
The fifth race is the 3:30 from Ripon and you have your biggest favourite of the Scoop6 card so far with Bayan emerging as the 4/1 favourite right now in the early wagering. The race is definitely a good one but it’s worth keeping your eyes on second favourite Sizzler at a solid price of 6/1.
The final race of the Scoop6 - the deciding race - is the Grade 3 Bet365 Gold Cup Chase which is the 3:50 from Sandown. A full 3m5f110y, the betting favourite for the race is still very much undecided with several different contenders all in the mix anywhere from 8/1 to 12/1. This one is an absolute mess if you are looking to play the markets but those looking to add some extra outs to their tickets would do well to opt for the likes of Carruthers and Houblon Des Obeaux.
The real one to watch here is likely to be Godsmejudge who really looked good finishing second in the Scottish Grand National a few weeks ago after putting in some unconvincing shifts prior to that.
