If you can get through the big field in the second race and you're still live then you've got several shorter fields to work with.

We shift over to Lingfield for the third leg of the Scoop6 with a 5f dash around the all weather. Lenny Bee knows what he's doing and showed rapid improvement last time out. He looks set to go off as the relative favourite for this one. Bertoliver was looking a sharp contender but has since been withdrawn. Billy Red is a there-or-thereabouts type of who finishes well but just doesn't win very often. Check him out at 11/2 if you're a true believer. Top weight Flash City could strike as well with a 4/1 listing.
The Grade 1 Betfair Chase runs at 3:05 as the fourth contest and it's one of the biggest contests of the early part of the National Hunt season. Long Run obviously comes into this one taking a heap of money from folks but remember not to discount Kauto Star. He's a 6/1 shout in this one and he knows a thing or two about winning a Betfair Chase.
Virtually any horse in this race could logically win this one and, while Long Run is certainly the flashy new contender on the block, a contest this early in the season could see the result going anywhere – especially at equal weights. Weird Al, Time For Rupert and Diamond Harry are all in that 5/1-7/1 corridor alongside Kauto Star with Pure Faith trading at a lengthy 66/1.
The big question in this one here is whether Kauto Star can roll back the years against younger and sharper opposition. The scary thing about Long Run is that he's not even fully developed as a chaser yet but still flashed enough guile to oust Kauto and Denman with panache in the Gold Cup. This is likely to be Kauto Star's final season and there is every chance that he still has much to prove.
