After an extremely long lay-off since her last outing back in November, Snow Fairy finally has a firm date in mind for her return. The multiple Group 1 winner who was purchased for the horse racing equivalent of pocket change, looks set to tackle the Darley Prix Jean Romanet.

While her 2011 campaign wasn't quite the incredible break-out that her 2010 campaign was, she more than held her own at the highest level and managed some very respectable placings at Group 1 races all over the world. Her effort, and the foresight of her connections, was finally rewarded in her final start of her campaign when she conquered a tough field of 18 to conquer the Queen Elizabeth II Commemorative Cup at Kyoto.
It may have been the switch back to preferred pilot Ryan Moore that did the trick but she produced a scintillating final two furlongs to collar Aventura on the line.
This brings Snow Fairy's career earnings up to the £3,500,000 mark (and just a bit beyond, in fact).
Punters will note that something of a complicated fall campaign is already laid out for the Ed Dunlop-trained charge. She boasts entries to the Darley Yorkshire Oaks, a Group 1 contest at the York Ebor festival. Two weeks later there is also an entry at the Red Mills Irish Champions Stakes at Leopardstown.
Connections may opt for an easier target and will take advantage of her entry for the Irresistible Jewel Blandford Stakes at the Curragh the following day. She is also co-entered for the Qipco British Champions Fillies' And Mares' Stakes, which is a Group 2 clash, and the Qipco Champion Stakes, where she would be competing against Group 1 company.
No mention has been made of another run in the Arc De Triomphe but she was able to muster up an impressive third place performance when sent off at a 14/1 margin.
