Heading into the fall, with the leaves beginning to turn colours and the punters beginning to discuss who's going to win the Tingle Creek Chase and the Fighting Fifth Hurdle, there are still plenty of exciting flat contests to look forward to but you're going to have to start looking to other shores if you plan to steer clear of the all weather circuit.
We have a number of quality contests set to unfold on Saturday before and after the big feature staying contest that everybody is looking forward to and there is a very intriguing Group 2 kicking things off at 2 pm local time.
The At The Races Champagne Stakes features representatives from a number of top yards as the highly rated Ibn Mailk from Sheikh Hamdan's yard comes in to do battle with a Richard Hannon-trained contender in Palawan who is much more heavily-raced and that could make the difference here.
It's also worth noting the Godolphin entry Emotionless, who is by Shamardal out of an Unbridled's Song mare, and he enters fresh off the maiden score so the placing in this race really shows how much confidence they have in the horse. If you see a market move, this one could be poised to pick off the talented Ibn Malik.
