It looks like this will be Camelot's next effort and he has scared away the bulk of the competition as only a solitary contender trades at a single digit price alongside him. Camelot's impressive run of form now has him undefeated in four races with over a million in earnings already. Sent off as the favourite in every single race, many expect him to virtually walk this one at the Curragh.

As it currently stands, punters will find Camelot as short as 1/4 to repeat his impressive five-length score in the Group 1 Investec Derby. The three-year-old son of Montjeu is out of a Kingmambo mare and has shown some real authority having stretched out to 1m4f.

The going will be the big variable during the build-up to the race with the current conditions underfoot said to be yielding to soft.

The 2012 Irish Derby originally had 88 nominations and has now been whittled down to 11. Imperial Monarch, another contender from the O'Brien yard, will ship over from France for this one having disappointed in the Prix Du Jockey Club at Chantilly. He still has lots of room to progress and is only set for his fourth outing.

At the moment, one can back Imperial Monarch at an 8/1 price with most major bookmakers.

Speaking of Which trades around 10/1 or 12/1 and scored in his most recent effort at the Curragh. The American-bred scored in the Group 3 Airlie Stud Gallinule Stakes over a 1m2f distance and delivered at a tidy 7/1 price. He doesn't look to be of Camelot's calibre but is certainly in the frame to hit the board.
