It remains to be seen whether he really can kick on here in another flat contest but his connections have placed him here for a reason. He is 20/1 in the market right now with Broxbourne looking like the probable favourite with a price that trades at around 6/1 at this point.

Broxbourne is well-weighted for this contest despite coming in fresh off a victory at Ascot this past weekend. It reflects well on him that they are turning out the son of Refuse To Bend so quickly, especially after taking the highest purse he has ever run in. He has been an all-weather warrior for quite some time and rattled off an impressive string of victories at Wolverhampton and Lingfield in the dead of winter as he captured four races in a row. 

Nicky Henderson has Lieutenant Miller entered for this contest as well and you can expect him to take a fair amount of money - particularly those who see him as a marginal each-way fancy. He boasts a victory over Broxbourne from Doncaster back in April and has not finished outside of the top three since being pulled up at Cartmel last July. 

Look for him at a price of about 7/1 but he may wind up taking more money before the off should he make an impressive pre-race appearance. 

The second contest of the day is the Neptune Investment Manage Gordon Stakes - a Group 3 race going 1m4f. It will be interesting to see how the rain is going to affect this race but with just a few runners in the mix here (and two of them Godolphin entries) it may be a race that many look to for a single in a multi-race wager.
