Look for him to deploy his usual press-the-pace or take the lead running style as John Velasquez takes a day off of Saratoga to ride the high-profile son of More Than Ready.

Verrazano is the ante post favourite for the race with sponsor William Hill floating him at a slim 9/4 price tag in what is looking like an extremely competitive market.
Trainer Todd Pletcher has another entry in Micromanage and he’s also fresh off a score at Monmouth when he teamed up with Joe Bravo to capture the Longbranch Stakes back in the first week of July. Prior to that he was able to finish second in the Easy Goer Stakes at Belmont on the heels of a non-winners of one contest at Monmouth. He was on the Kentucky Derby trail at one point but a fifth place in the Champagne Stakes and a very disappointing effort in the Remsen at Aqueduct (beaten 52 lengths) saw him stay off-track to finish up a six month freshening.
Typical of Mike Repole’s effort to dominate East Coast racing, Micromanage has been entered here despite a single graded victory to his credit. Joe Bravo has been red hot lately with 3 wins, 1 place and 1 show from his last 10 races.
An eye-catching 4f in 47.1 workout at Saratoga earlier this week may be enough to make this contender a wise-guy horse and his best time out of a 101 horse sample makes him the pick from a works standpoint.
