Sizing Europe Set For 2011 Tingle Creek

A talented field sets up for the 2011 Tingle Creek Chase as the Down Royal showpiece has attracted a number of fantastic jumpers. The reigning champion chaser in the UK, Sizing Europe is quite likely to run here and he'll be experiencing a drop back in distance for this one. The distance switch was likely prompted by Sizing being mugged near the line by late-running Quito De La Roque when it looked like he had the race in his back pocket.

It could be written off as fitness issues at the start of the season but the change to less than 3m distances shows that maybe connections think the nine-year-old son of Pistolet Bleu may be better off dropping back in trip for the time being.

The bookmakers certainly seem to be showing confidence in Sizing's ability to get the job done this weekend and they've got him down to around 5/2 ante post. He went off at Down Royal as the 7/2 second-favourite behind the victor and ahead of The Nightingale and faller Midnight Chase at 4/1 and 9/2, respectively.

The tandem of Finians Rainbow and Tataniano look to be offering up the bulk of the challenge and their prices are sitting just off of Sizing Europe in the 2011 Tingle Creek at around 3/1 with most major bookmakers.

Wishfull Thinking appears to be in the mix for this one as well and you'll find him priced out at 4/1 and looking competitive. Expect the odds to reshuffle prior to the off on Saturday. The odds then take a big jump to Gauvain at 10/1 while I'msingingtheblues is trading at a very reasonable 14/1 that may tempt more than a few ante post punters.

Living-legend Kinkeel is also in the running and he's listed at very long odds for this one at 200/1. Should be run on Saturday he'll be taking a giant step closer to his goal of setting the world record for steeplechases. A real fan-favourite, Kinkeel doesn't find the line first very often but rarely is out of the frame.
