138TH BRITISH OPEN AT TURNBERRY LATEST BETTING TIPS

Things are continuing to take shape at the 138th Open at Turnberry, with a lot of movement up around the top of the leader board. At the time of this writing, Steve Marino holds a -5 lead after posting a 68 today. Mark Calcavecchia is just finishing up his days play and sits at -4. Miguel Angel Jimenez has dropped off and now sits a bit behind at -3 after posting a +3 73 today. Retief Goosen and Ross Fisher are also in contention at -3 with Tom Watson, Kenichi Kuboya, Matthew Goggin and Branden Grace (who is yet to tee off) all sharing a -3 score. Tiger Woods bested his Thursday performance and has gotten himself to even par, well-poised for a big charge on the last two days. He sits at even par after recording a -1 session today. We haven't seen the best of Tiger yet, but I'm confident that he'll pick up steam over the weekend. My tip for the Open is American "Good Ol' Boy" Boo Weekley who is currently at -3 through 4 holes today. I've got him on an each-way and I'm feeling especially confident. Luckily, I locked in at 70/1 yesterday, Weekley currently sits at 28/1. I don't necessarily expect him to win, although it's a very distinct possibility, but the each-way betting makes golf a tremendous money-making opportunity in massive fields like this one. You can back Tiger Woods for the win at 7/2 and Retief Goosen at 9/1. Ross Fisher is available at 10/1 with Steve Marino and Lee Westwood both carrying a 14/1 price. Jim Furyk is at 22/1 alongside Miguel Angel Jimenez. Martin Kaymer sits at 25/1. You'll find Sergio Garcia and Vijay Singh at 33/1. John Daly is out there reeking of class and kicking ass (as always) and you can back him at 125/1. He may be an each-way shot, but I don't think he has a tremendous chance of winning. Piles of in-play markets at Paddy Power and you can back individual players to make the cut, you can bet on match-play, two-ball, group betting and the round leader. Throw in a stellar promo for first time depositors who aren't looking to risk too much, and you've got yourself a winning combination on the Open this weekend.
