138th BRITISH OPEN LATEST BETTING TIPS
We've seen a lot of movement today as the prices are moving around all over the place during the opening session of the 138th Open at Turnberry. Tiger Woods has seen his price drop significantly as his 9/4 is now listed as an 11/2- much better odds on the world #1, but a +1 performance leaves him with a significant amount of work to do. He's tied with a pile of other players for 72nd spot. He will, however, make the cut. At the time of this writing, Tom Watson and Ben Cutis are the top two at -5 while we have a bit of a log-jam for second place with John Senden, Steve Stricker, Camilo Villegas, Stewart Cink, Matthew Goggin, Soren Hansen, Miguel Angel Jimenez and Paul Casey all sitting at -4. Mark Calcavecchia, Mark O'Meara, Vijay Singh, Boo Weekley, Branden Grace, Steve Marino, Fredrik Jacobson and James Kingston are all at -3. If you read my article from yesterday, you knew I was topping Boo Weekley and O'Meara for a bit of a performance here. I expect to see Weekley secure a top 10, even a top 5 finish. Paddy Power has moved Paul Casey into 2nd place favourite at 9/1 with Steve Stricker at 14/1. Ben Curtis sits at 16/1 while Jim Furyk and Camilo Villegas are tied with Lee Westwood at 18/1. Rory McIlroy has dropped back to 33/1 alongside names like Sergio Garcia, Mike Weir and Stewart Cink. I think Vijay Singh is worth a punt right now at 30/1 as he's well-poised to take advantage tomorrow. I haven't seen him play this well in a while. Paddy Power has plenty of in-play action on the 138th Open. You can bet live on the outright market, you can bet on the leader after a specific round, as well as taking advantage of the match betting. They are currently featuring Padraig Harrington vs Jim Furyk as well as Rory McIlroy against Retief Goosen. You can follow Paul Casey hole by hole or get in on the 2 ball betting. There's plenty of action available right now and I've just backed Boo Weekley to finish top 5. He's good value at 1/4 odds at 70/1.
