2009 BMW CHAMPIONSHIP BETTING ODDS
There is a whole lot of wagering happening on Betfair for the 2009 BMW Championship- the latest stage of the much-vaunted FedEx Cup. We are seeing some very interesting movement in terms of the top 5, top 10 and outright winner markets. Unsurprisingly, Tiger Woods is listed as the firm favourite and is currently available at around 3.0. He's been dipping into the high 2's, for most of today's session, but is usually available in that margin. Padraig Harrington can be backed in the 13-15 region and is representing some good value at the moment. Geoff Ogilvy has made a very solid start to his day and he has seen his price drop considerably and he is now available in the 17-19 region. If his score continues as it currently is, we can expect him to trade around 12-14 at day's end. Steve Stricker is enjoying a quality price at 17.5 and he will likely be in contention to the final day. Jim Furyk can be backed at a best price of 29.0 which is around the same as Phil Mickelson. Hunter Mahan holds a slight edge as 1st Round Leader at a price of 4.0. Tiger Woods is a bit behind at 5.1 and we're not seeing a huge amount of movement or volume here. Jason Day is at 6.0 to top the table at the end of the day with David Toms at 12.0. Geoff Ogilvy is at 6.0 with Steve Stricker available at an identical price. The current favourites at Betfair for a Top 5 Finish include Tiger Woods at 1.55, Padraig Harrington at 1.9, Geoff Ogilvy at 2.12, Steve Stricker at 3.65 and a whole slew of players all listed at 5.0. Padraig Harrington is currently the favourite to be named top European at 2.0. Sergio Garcia is behind at 4.0 with Ian Poulter listed at 6.0. Things will certainly get interesting on Saturday and Sunday. I can see Tiger putting up a competitive total early on, and there is a good chance he won't blow this one on the final day.
