2009 CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL BETTING TIPS FOR MANCHESTER UNITED VS BARCELONA
Popular UK bookmaker Ladbrokes has over 90 different markets for the 2009 Champions League Final and I expect that this one will be a very profitable match for the punters. As the match drifts closer and closer, we're seeing some cracks starting to develop in the bookmakers prices and United are the team that appears to be getting the most financial backing. As it currently stands, Barcelona carry a 7/4 outright price with United just slightly ahead of them at 13/8. The draw pays out at 21/10, but I don't fancy extra time in this one. The actual Cup Winner (effectively a Draw No Bet) has both teams at 5/6. For me, this really tells you something as United are slim favourites to win this in extra time but it's a total toss-up when you factor in extra-time and penalties. I think the longer this match goes on, the better it is for Barcelona. The longer the match is scoreless, the better it is for Barcelona. Cristiano Ronaldo is the favoured first goalscorer at 5/1 with Lionel Messi and Samuel Eto'o both listed at 6/1. Wayne Rooney is at 7/1 with Thierry Henry, Dimitar Berbatov and Carlos Tevez all in at 8/1. Bojan Krkic is 9/1 alongside Federico Macheda. If you're looking for anytime prices, cut those ones by 2/3 and you'll be there or thereabouts. Ronaldo is 7/4, Eto'o and Messi are at 2/1, Wayne Rooney at 9/4 etc. Between 2 or 3 goals is the predicted outcome with 2 goals at 12/5 or 3 goals at 13/5. I don't see this one going to extra-time, but it's a Cup Final so you never really know. Both teams are listed at 7/4 to keep a clean sheet and that's a total error on the Bookmakers part. United are in a much better position to keep a clean sheet here and 7/4 is a solid bet. Seeing as though there will be so much attacking play in this one, I think that the woodwork being hit three or more times at 15/2 is a great bet.
